What is LouisiAnthro?
LouisiAnthro is Louisiana's first annual furry convention! Our 2027 con will be held at the Baton Rouge Mariott from January 29th through the 31st. Come show your fluffy side and make new friends!
What kinds of things are going on at LouisiAnthro?
Throughout the con there will be plenty of scheduled events, panels, and meetups for you to check out! As the con approaches, there will be a detailed schedule posted on this site with a breakdown of what is going on and where.
Additionally, we're proud to host our Dealer's Den all con, showing off all kinds of goodies made by and for the furry community! We have several vendors from the local area as well as a couple who have traveled across the country to attend the con!
Do I need to register?
Yes, registration is required for all attendees. You can pre-register by going to our admissions page, or register at the door. (Pre-registering also gets you a discount over our at-the-door prices!) In the event that tickets sell out, we will send out notifications via our social channels as well as the news page on this site, so be sure to follow those for the latest updates on registration.
We offer multiple tiers of registration which can earn you special benefits, such as early access to key events or unique goodies to take home! Check out the admissions page for details on what your ticket gets you.
I'm disabled, what do I need to know?
At the con, we will have accessibility registration, including stickers to go on badges to let staff know you will need additional accommodations. We will have the ability to place you in priority lines, and can offer text queues for lines and seating. Please make sure to stop by the ConOps desk to get registered, and let us know if there's anything we can do to make your con go as smoothly as it can.
Is this convention for all ages?
Yes! LouisiAnthro is proud to host a family-friendly weekend for attendees of all ages. Unless otherwise marked, common areas, events, and panels are appropriate for a general audience. Any events not intended for a general audience will be color-coded with a yellow "PG-13" warning or red "18+" warning on the schedule, and ID checks will be performed for 18+ events.

Is there a room block?
Yes, we offer a room block for LouisiAnthro! Check out our hotel information page for details on our room block.
Do I need a fursuit?
Nope! Attendees of all stripes are encouraged to come enjoy the con, suited or not. There will be plenty of colorful characters to interact with either way!
What should I bring?
At minimum, you'll need:

Is there a lost and found?
Yes! Look around for our ConOps desk. If you've lost something, swing by there and see if someone else hasn't dropped it off. (And if you've found something, please bring it there!)
This is my first furry convention, what can I expect?
First off, we're so excited to have your first convention be with us! Furry conventions are a wonderful way for us to connect with other, and we hope that you'll be able to find community here with us! Some tips for the new con-goers:

If you're attending the first day, be sure to check out opening ceremonies! It's a great way to start off your con and you'll get a chance to connect with others who are also new to LouisiAnthro or furry conventions in general.

Coming in with friends? Try to plan to stick together -- cons are always more fun with friends. If you're flying solo, take advantage where you can to make new buddies! There are meetups of all kinds, for all kinds of interests.

The schedule is chock-full of panels and activities! You'll get exhausted rather quickly if you try to do them all. Pick a couple key ones you know you'll want to hit and prioritize those.

For some people, cons can put them into a state of heightened emotions where it's easy to forget to take care of needs. If you're feeling down, remember to H.A.L.T. and ask yourself if you are hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. If so, grab a bite to eat, step away for a bit, strike up a conversation, or get some sleep.

Interact with suiters! They're as excited to see you as you are for them. Be sure to get their attention and consent before going in for hugs and/or photos!

DRINK WATER. This one is worth repeating: drink water! A good rule of thumb (rule of paw?) is to take a drink every time you walk past a water fountain or water pitcher. Even better: bring a refillable bottle and fill it up every time you walk past.

Try to stick to the 6-2-1 rule every day: at least 6 hours of sleep, at least 2 meals, at least 1 shower. Your body will thank you!
Can I help out?
We work hard to make LouisiAnthro run smoothly for the community and we're exceptionally grateful to see those in the community step up to help make LouisiAnthro even better. We will have volunteering information and signups available once we're close to the con. Make sure you're registered and have lodging arrangements sorted out, and keep an eye on our socials and news feed! If you don't sign up early, check our ConOps desk for last-minute spots -- we always need the extra paws!
